When we think of a circle, it reminds us of a bright point that creates a perfect circle. This led us to experiment with light and to project colours onto painted surfaces, where additive and subtractive colour mixtures merge and influence each other. For Spot Colour, beamers project circles in different coloured and various sizes onto fluorescent painted steel shapes. Vibrant colour combinations and luminous compositions appear. The project has been developed for 10th anniversary of Dutch Invertuals, as part of the exhibition ‘The Circle’ curated by Wendy Plomp.
