In the exhibition Stuffed twelve designers and artists presented new works inspired on taxidermy. The exhibition concept was born in 2008 after one of the initiators saw the historical collection of stuffed animals at the 'Milieu Education Centrum'. Being stored in archive cabinets on the attic, the major part of the collection was not visible to the public. Together with the MEC's collection the works were shown during the Dutch Design Week in Eindhoven, october 2008. Besides that a selection of existing pieces of other artist, connecting to the theme were presented. After a successful first exhibition with more than 5.000 visitors, Stuffed was presented during the Design Academy exhibition at Salone del Mobile, Milano and at the NAi Maastricht in 2009.
