Simone Post Identity

December 2019

Simone Post is a Dutch textile and product designer. Her work is characterised by material experiments, in-depth research and a love for colour, print and crafts. The identity unites two aspects of Simone Post’s practice. On one hand it is the discipline of textile design. On the other hand it is her role as material designer. When developing textile and materials Simone brings small elements together to create a bigger whole. The elements of the logotype that are coming together to create her logo type are representing these facets.

Building up the logotype in segments allows its deconstruction into patterns and  compositions, aligned in fixed position with a diversity of colour combinations. The segments can be filled with solid hues or combined with hand drawn structures from Simone’s hand. The elements are suitable for dynamic animations for on-screen usage. To add tactility in print, the elements have an additional transparent ink layer that completes subtle the whole logotype on the uncoated paper surface.
