Initiated by Jan Willem Renders, the exhibition 'E'ven schilderijen' was focusing on thirty contemporary painters from Eindhoven. For the book we focused on the different formats of the painting. Usually it is hard o get a grasp of the size of a painting when you see a reproduction.
All paintings were represented in scale drawings with specific structures displaying the painting medium and carrier.
E'ven schilderijen is an exhibition that shows the variety of
what is currently being painted in Eindhoven. This exhibition
represents the works of older and familiar artists but also of younger and less familiar ones.
It is both abstract and figurative work shown, expressively painted or just carefully applied on canvas. No less than thirty artists from Eindhoven provided work for this major exhibition in the beautiful light filled space of 'De Fabriek'.
